GroviaTenderBot

What it is

GroviaTenderBot is operated by Webzworld for Grovia Tender, a bid-preparation service for Indian small and medium businesses. It reads the publicly visible tender listing and notice pages of government e-procurement portals, the same pages any visitor sees without logging in, and shows our users that a tender exists, with the source named and a link back to the portal.

How it identifies itself

Every request carries this User-Agent header and a From header with our contact mailbox:

GroviaTenderBot/1.0 (+https://groviatender.com/bot; mailto:info@groviatender.com)

Requests originate from our own server, IP address 13.127.111.226. We do not use proxies, rotating addresses or third-party crawling services.

What it does

• Reads public listing pages (for example “Latest Active Tenders”) and public tender detail pages.
• Makes at most one request every four seconds per portal, and only a few hundred requests per portal per day.
• Fetches and obeys robots.txt, including rules addressed to GroviaTenderBot and any Crawl-delay.
• Stops on its own for 24 hours if a portal answers 403, 429 or 503, presents a CAPTCHA, or changes its page layout, and alerts our operators.
• Shows every notice with attribution (“Source: <portal>”) and a link to the portal, and refreshes or removes it when the portal does.

What it never does

• Never logs in, creates accounts or uses bidder credentials.
• Never attempts, solves or bypasses a CAPTCHA or any access control.
• Never downloads tender documents through the portal. Bidders download packages themselves with their own portal accounts.
• Never interacts with bid submission, e-signatures or payments.
• Never disguises itself or retries aggressively.

How to limit or stop it

Two ways, both effective the same day:

1. Add a rule to your robots.txt. The reader checks it before every run:

   User-agent: GroviaTenderBot
   Disallow: /

2. Email info@groviatender.com with the portal address. We will stop reading it and confirm in writing.

Why we read public pages

Government portals publish tender notices so that more businesses can participate. Most small businesses never see them. Grovia Tender exists to help first-time bidders find, understand and prepare for the right tenders. Reading the public notice pages, openly and gently, serves the same purpose the portals were built for. We have asked NIC for formal permission and will follow any conditions it sets.
