Guide
How to get the most from Grovia Tender
Most people sign up for the tender list and never see the rest. This page is the rest: every part of the system, the question each part answers for someone who has never tendered, and what to do in your first week.
Part 1 of 4
Find work
Three places work comes from. Most people only ever look at the first.
Government tenders
Public tenders from central and state portals and international funders, matched to what your company does.
- Tenders matched to you
Open tenders from CPPP, state e-procurement portals and international sources, each scored 0–100 against your Company DNA: what you make, where you work and how large a job you can take on.
- The question it answers“Out of thousands of tenders, which ten are actually for me?”
- Search every tender, free
Search the whole catalogue by product, buyer, state or value, on every plan including Free. Each notice links back to the portal it came from.
- The question it answers“Is anyone buying what I make right now?”
- Forward the alert e-mails you already get
Your company gets a private Grovia inbox. Forward tender alerts from portals or vendors to it and they join your list.
- The question it answers“I already get tender e-mails. Do I have to change anything?”
Private projects
Companies that are building, expanding or have just won work, and so will need suppliers. Many of these never become a public tender.
- Environmental clearances (PARIVESH)
Factories, mines and townships that have applied for environmental clearance. A plant that is being approved will need civil work, steel, equipment and services.
- The question it answers“Who is about to build something, before anyone calls for bids?”
- New real-estate projects (Karnataka RERA)
Newly registered real-estate projects in Karnataka, with the developer and location from the public register.
- The question it answers“Which developers near me are starting new projects?”
- Central government projects (MoSPI)
Projects newly approved or just started by central ministries and PSUs, from the MoSPI Flash Report, with the implementing agency and cost.
- The question it answers“Which large public projects are early enough for me to get in as a supplier?”
- International funders: World Bank, ADB, AIIB, IFC
Projects these institutions are financing in India, and the firms that have won contracts under them.
- The question it answers“Who has money to spend on a project in my sector?”
- Power auction winners (CERC)
Solar, wind and transmission developers whose auction wins have been adopted by CERC. They now have to buy modules, equipment and EPC work.
- The question it answers“Who in power needs suppliers in the next two years?”
- Order-win news
News that a company has won an order or a letter of award. The winner now has to buy materials and hire subcontractors, so you can sell to the winner.
- The question it answers“I lost that tender. Can I still supply the firm that won it?”
Buyer requirements
Companies post what they want to buy on Grovia, free. Each one is checked by our team and shown only to suppliers it fits.
- Requirements that fit you
A buyer posts a requirement at groviatender.com/post-requirement. Our team checks it, then it appears for suppliers whose Company DNA fits, with an alert in the app, by push and by e-mail.
- The question it answers“Is there a buyer looking for exactly what I do?”
- Express interest
Press one button and the buyer receives your details and a short message. Their contact stays private until they reply. Free plan: 3 responses a month; paid plans: unlimited.
- The question it answers“How do I reach the buyer without cold-calling?”
Part 2 of 4
Know the market
Before you bid, know who buys, who wins and at what price.
Market intelligence
The history behind every tender: who buys this, how often, at what value, who wins, and when the next one is due.
- Who bought what
Every buyer’s purchases with the item and value and, where an award has been published, the winner. Click a buyer to see all it has bought; click a winner to see all it has won.
- The question it answers“Where does the money in my line of work actually go?”
- Buying again soon
Many buyers purchase the same thing on a steady rhythm. We predict the next one from the buyer’s own history, with a date window and a confidence level.
- The question it answers“Can I get my documents ready before the tender comes out?”
- Contracts ending soon
Award notices state how long a contract runs. A contract ending in March usually means a new tender around January.
- The question it answers“Which contracts will be re-tendered in the next few months?”
- Follow buyers and competitors
Follow the departments you sell to and the firms you bid against. A “since you last looked” feed shows only what is new. Free plan: up to 3; paid plans: unlimited.
- The question it answers“How do I keep an eye on my buyers without checking every day?”
- Competitor scorecards
A firm’s record from published awards: contracts held, typical size, where and from whom it wins, the trend, and the tenders you recorded losing to it.
- The question it answers“Who am I up against, and can I beat them here?”
- What similar contracts looked like
On a tender page: how many firms usually bid on similar contracts in that state, and how far the winner (L1) was below the runner-up (L2). From World Bank contract awards in India, shown only when there are at least 10 to compare.
- The question it answers“How sharp do I need to be on price?”
- Ask about a buyer
Ask in plain English, such as “what do they buy most often?”, and get an answer built only from that buyer’s published notices, every figure linked to its notice.
- The question it answers“What should I know about this department before I bid?”
Part 3 of 4
Win work
From the tender document to a pack you check and submit yourself.
Your bids
From a tender document to a submission pack you check and submit yourself. The system prepares; you decide, sign and submit.
- Upload any tender
A PDF, ZIP, Word or Excel file, or a link. It gets exactly the same analysis as a tender we found for you. Free plan: 3 of your own tenders a month.
- The question it answers“I have a tender someone sent me. Can it read that?”
- Eligibility with evidence
Every eligibility clause is checked against your own certificates and work orders: PASS, FAIL or NEEDS REVIEW, with the clause, the page and the document that proves it.
- The question it answers“Do I even qualify?”
- Go/No-Go
A Win Potential score out of 100, a list of risks (EMD, penalties, bank guarantees, payment terms) and a GO, NO GO or REVIEW recommendation with reasons in plain English.
- The question it answers“Is this worth my time and money?”
- Ask questions about a tender
Ask the 200-page document a question, such as “is there a site visit?”, and get an answer that points to the part of the document it came from.
- The question it answers“Where in this document does it say that?”
- A complete first draft
Every section of the proposal is drafted from your own facts, with each claim traceable to a document. Where something cannot be proved, it becomes a question for you rather than a guess.
- The question it answers“I have never written a proposal. Where do I start?”
- Answer library and Word round-trip
Save your best answers and reuse them next time; old figures are flagged for you to confirm. Download the proposal as Word, edit it with your team, upload it back and see what changed.
- The question it answers“Can I reuse what we wrote last time, and still work in Word?”
- Document checklist, BOQ and submission pack
The required-document list fills itself from your vault; gaps become a short to-do list. BOQ arithmetic and GST are done for you, but nothing is priced without your approval. Then a pack with every file named as the portal expects.
- The question it answers“What exactly do I have to upload on the portal?”
Part 4 of 4
Stay on top
The changes that matter, brought to you.
Documents and alerts
Your documents kept current, and the changes that matter brought to you, so you never have to remember to check.
- Document vault and expiry alerts
Upload certificates, work orders and financials once. The system reads them, tracks validity, alerts you before a certificate expires, and warns if one expires before a tender closes.
- The question it answers“Will an expired certificate knock me out?”
- Corrigendum alerts
When a tender is amended, we show what changed and refresh your eligibility and scores. “Turnover requirement changed from ₹5 Cr to ₹10 Cr: your eligibility changed.”
- The question it answers“Did the rules change after I started?”
- Daily e-mail and in-app alerts
Each morning, the new tenders that fit you, best three first, plus deadline reminders and corrigenda. Nothing is sent when nothing is new. WhatsApp coming soon.
- The question it answers“How do I hear about new work without logging in?”
- Market Monday weekly digestSoon
One short read every Monday: new fits, tenders closing this week, your follows, buyers likely to buy soon, and the tenders you missed.
- The question it answers“What changed in my market this week?”
- Ask the assistant
Ask in plain English: what is due this week, which certificates expire soon, what a term like EMD means. Answers say where they came from, and it says so when it does not know.
- The question it answers“What should I do today?”
- Mobile app for Android and iPhoneSoon
A morning briefing, your tenders, alerts and documents, and the camera to add a certificate to your vault. The web app already works in any phone browser.
- The question it answers“Can I check this from the site?”
